Yesterday I had a couple of hours on one of my favorite roman sites, its getting high in crop now so did not expect great things but that said this field just throws up lovely stuff particularly quality brooches, however the only thing that came to light was the ? brooch part with some enamel, it would have been a cracker if complete nod, brooch part yes or no  Undecided what do you think...the coins came from the afternoon on another field, god knows this particular field has thrown up many many later period Romans this year,  also spent some mooching around in the hedges  ???the result of which was the roman pottery brought up by the badger sets.Good luck if your digging this weekend guys. I wish dingdong, some of my fields still get green waste rubbish spread on it and although no where near as bad as some detectorist fields it still throws up razor blades, and ring pulls.  Wink

Some more stunning finds Paul.  That 'brooch' looks to have a broken suspension eye on it. Some sort of pendant or harness decoration, maybe ?
