Great coin Alan. As far as I can see, your ID is correct Rob.

Not a common coin at all. The Mass collection of 2200 short cross coins doesn't have a full coin of this, just a cut half.

The mint signature CANTI may indicate Class 4b, but the obverse seems to have the reversed 'S' of class 4c, so it might be a 4c/4b mule.

Well worth recording, either on PAS, UKDFD or both.

LOL - thx guys - i blame techony -- he stopped me to talk ... after which i turned to the right and ..whoopee!!

coin will be going into FLO on the 18th of Feb. [along with the rose farthing,  medieval pot leg, thimble, crotal bells etc etc etc]
