Title: Re: Nap Post by: Whiteduke on June 13, 2012, 12:41:19 PM Good Vid
"this is the Deus, never used one before" Not so good Title: Re: Nap Post by: wayno on June 13, 2012, 05:18:53 PM Bit bias i think as you are used to the Etrac should have had a experienced Deus user there as well.Try setting the Deus up right it may help. I am sure I could hear a iron signal and then a good signal
Title: Re: Nap Post by: 16.5DD (richard) on June 13, 2012, 09:19:18 PM I must be honest I have used a Deus before.
I actually put one on test before release and think it is a good machine. what was differcult is that I heard signals but was told that they were iron only although they were very possitive. The screen rarely gave any suggestion of anything but occassionally spat a 98 jumping to 01 or absolutely nothing. tried various settings just a portion were filmed and got the same exact consitant nothings on screen. I must admit if the sounds do say more than just nothing I could be wrong is saying the machine did not find the hammered coinage. The etrac could not find no1 though although the ctx3030 has a trace to a good find. I was not overly impressed with the functionality of the ctx over the etrac but waterproof with a vdu is a way forward undoubtidly. £2000 is too much £1500 is about it's value. I do think the price is it's downfall and sales will be still with the etrac so minelab will gain there again. About time the way forward on an etrac 2 was done and Deus 2/3 as they did derive an update on something didn't they. Got to say the ctx is constructed to last a bit longer a stronger build detector all round. Next test we have asked a fanatic Deus user who says that xp are God's and minelab are its worshipers only dreaming of its power. So if he don't chicken out a much fairer challenge will be videod and presented by us. All I can say for all those who say minelabs dont work in iron perhaps take in what you hear in this video and all the others.
