A friend of mine visited Penarth this morning, and she got some great shots of the sea.

I have never seen it so high there - its only just below the height of the pier and was flowing into the road further down the street!

Its going to be a high one.

On the plus side who knows how much it will strip off the beaches? Or knowing our luck dump on them!

Stay safe
Neil

Porthcawl today. Look at the size of the rocks/concrete the sea is throwing up!

Road along sea front in Amroth

Followed by Cardigan Town

The sea is far more powerful then we ever give it credit for.

Stay safe out there.

Thanks for the link Alan. Some sobering images there of familiar places where we've parked to admire the view on sunny days.

Some amazing pics. It's quite frightening what the sea can do when at it's most powerful.

Most of our main coastal towns have been hit by flooding and alot of damage to property in Isle of Man ...I live in Peel and iam at this moment hundred yards from the harbour and promenade...but although the coast guards are keepimg people away from certain areas ,we have escaped the worst of the surge..Its now receding...My heart goes out to anybody affected by these conditions........ROB
