Never thought to ask John, have you silver tested it.Huh   Got to admit I'haven't seen another one that good while I've been looking.  Even the battered chewed up ones seem to fetch a good price.

Does look a lot like 8 Reale saying that the shield appears a bit more rectangular so possibly a 50 Reale coin? it also says phil I believe which would probably be Philip IV?
