Out with some friends on the weekend not a very productive but I did manage to get my first roman artefact ....... I think. was told the large lead item was of a horse blinker thanks for any further id's.

Not great on brooches but is it a Dolphin or Polden Hill type??

I'd need some clearer pics to give to an accurate id on it but your looking at the end of the 1st through to the beginning of the 2nd century Wink Nice find.

Thanks chef I will try and get some better pics up but it does seem to be suffering badly with bronze disease, any idea for the best treatment.. Have dipped it in olive oil.
