Good shout Jason there are also two part circles just after the wreath, given that the T is indented rather than in relief it could be the impression of the back of another coin which would mean the marks are reversed and the two semicircles are the two arcs of a crown Huh

Looking v closely behind D looks like the top of crown same as on
Reverse there are two one by v one by D. Coin must have been
reworked putting a head on reverse of maybe a charles 11 guinea ? ET HIB above bust to left.

It looks like the coin was struck then spun 180 degrees in the die, Jason said about the hair behind DEI its the exact same shape and size as the curl on bottom of Charles hair the T is close behind, as for the two II after Charles its slightly double struck the 2nd time round.
Geoff id say the T is slightly relief but its not as prominent as the restrike legends as its been squashed in the field?

It could of looked a lot worse, its really not that bad......... It wasn't rare for a early milled coin to completely flip in the die, they take some working out, il try to get hold of a Bristol William 6d to show you Wink

It doesn't have to be a hammered to be double struck Smiley

This one of mine appears to have 'bounced' in the die?
