Smiley Well done Rob, Awesome find, simply awesome  Smiley , for me,it's not about the value, its the history around it, imagine being able to have an image of the day that was lost, who it belonged to and how they came to loose it, the more you think about it the more it messes with your head Shocked
BTW the wife says she looking forward to seeing your ring Shocked Grin

That's a lovely chunky ring Rob, a well deserved find, would there be some enamelling on it as well? If you soak it in distilled water the dirt should drop out of the crevices .

Cheers guys and gals. Just did a proper foil test on the inside of the ring. ans it fizzled and stunk of egg. Think i was using too thick a foil. So its definately silver. I aint got a camera at the moment but will try and get some pics up .

Funny you should say that Phil , he was doing a Benny Hill impression all day. I want to know why he's wearing road kill on his head.

Be careful of the mystical powers in the ring

Place the ring on your finger at your own peril Shocked Shocked

Got visions of Rob turning into....

Sir Rob of Tafflaff (a Knights Templar) and turning up at the next DW rally
