A great find - well done Rob. Certainly looks like a medieval silver finger ring. Will need to be reported as potential Treasure to the Herefordshire coroner.

Hi Rob. You are right, probably best to contact Mark in the first instance, and he will inform you about what you need to do. I am sure he will have the contact details for the coroner, but he may ask you to to get in touch with the coroner yourself.

its all been said but I'm going to say it as well, i was there yesterday with,BASONMAN,COLEGGWENT(cccoooogggglllleeee),TAFF,we were all finding bits and pieces at the time i was talking to coleggwent and we hered basonman shout" come and have a look at this "so coleggwent and i went up the hill to see the fantastic ring that TAFF had found ,it was a pleasure to have been in good company with the guys and we had a good laugh all day we were there in great surroundings ,but my last words are to say that the ring being found could not of been found by a nicer guy that is so funny and as the great enthusiasm for our hobby ,WELL DONE ROB(TAFF)great ring great guy...............will post my  photos soon .....enjoyed the day with the three nice guys for detecting and a great laugh as well,,,,,,,,,,,and plesure to see a very old and nice ring from the past. Wink

Hi Rob, I have found TT in Hereford, I recorded the find with Mark and it went through the process from there, to the BM and eventually aquired by Hereford museum., Smiley
