Hi Folks
This came out of an area of pasture today, approx 6 inches deep, using my euroace, 0 disc full sensitivity.
I've had a couple of pot legs in the past, but none with any markings or designs in the metal.
Any thoughts !
Cheers
Adrian

hi Artkat
certainly looks like a potleg.....the foundry marks im guessing would probably date it to 17-18c when they industrialised this form of industry
nice find Wink

Cheers Nobby.
I wonder if it's possible to research foundry marks.

Anyone found any of the bits of pots they were attached to?

There's one field I go to where I repeatedly find what I think are bits of fairly thick bronze pot. I'll have to post some images one day.

Hi folks
Thanks for the interest.
My mate has suggested it may be a skillet handle,?
And wonders if the design could be a foundry mark.
