Your swinging your detector and you get a good signal, your heart start to flutter and you dig that hole,........ what do you find. Buttons, pennies and yet more musket shot  :'(

Not quite a days worth Bob Grin, but to find the good stuff you can't ignore the rubbish, If i'm desparate I will did iron on certain sites, you can find some interesting stuff. Does make you wonder how many holes i've dug in 25 years, this was the better rubbish.

There's been days when in four hours or so I've had 130 coins, not including artefacts. I've also ended up
putting a whole bag of rubbish in the bin as well.

I couldn't begin to estimate how many holes I've dug over 20+ years but it's sure to be in the hundreds of
thousands.

I've started using a GPS which also tells me how far I've walked. The Tewkesbury rally last Sunday was 3.75 miles.
Add the holes and the miles walked over the years and it's certainly good exercise !  Shocked
