RARE,S COACH TRIP TO THE BRIMSLADE RALLY,BURBAGE

Report by Byron Mathews,RARE Vice Chairman

R.A.R.E.(Rhondda Artefact Research Enthusiasts) set off on another coach trip with 35 plus expectant detectorists on board.
We arrived at the farm around 9.30am but found our coach would not be able to negotiate the two hump-back bridges and the near hair-pin bend on the way to the site.
So, the coach was left in the farmyard and we got on a magnificent tractor and trailer, which the landowner supplied, to be conveyed to the fields. The trailer itself had two long cushioned benches down both sides and was covered by a tarpaulin sheet, it even had a carpeted floor, comfort indeed ! ...............
