Title: Roman Head,deadlocks frustration !!!(Revised)
Post by: WeCan-Octavian on November 27, 2012, 02:57:21 PM
This one is for our friend DEADLOCK, He has this thing about Roman coins having to have a good clear head on them
The only  one i have is my denarius which i will start the thread with, but i know from this past year plenty of you have produced some nice roman coins in excellent order with very clear heads on them.

Lets see what youve got, if this is successful maybe a Queen Anne thread can be started for Taff  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just goes to show how your mind works  ::)

I said that in all sincerity because the one and only Roman coin I found had  nothing on it, front or back. If it hadn't been for one of the Guys telling me what it was I wouldn't have known. :'(

I know Val, :D i have one exactly like that and it wasnt until the FLO recorded it that i found out what it was, i was just fortunate to find the denarius with my first 20 quid Ace 100, but ive seen lots on here in far better order with some excellent detail on them

I find it most frustrating that every roman coin / grot, I have had, has not had marking or very little marking on them this year, so my aim was to find one with a clearly marked head. And so far nil point.
