Hi all just saying hello.
I've just started using my metal detector that I bought about 7 years ago its a Bounty Hunter Tracker 4 (don't laugh)
I have been enjoying the countryside all my life and I find metal detecting to be a great new pass time, this weekend I have dug up 20p in 2's and 1's
and various pieces of junk, and am using a piece of software called memory map to record the locations of my finds.

I don't think the bounty hunter is much of a machine and am sure there is much more that I have missed so I am now saving for a Garrett Euro Ace
just need to sell my guitar.

Does anyone have any thoughts or comments on the Bounty hunter or Euro Ace.

Regards

Hi and welcome to the site.

Iv no experience with the bounty hunter at all but I do have a Garrett Ace 150.
I have found plenty with Garrett, ranging from silver coins, hammereds, a gold ring and plenty of other bits and pieces. So I'm sure the euro ace will be a great machine.

Good luck with what ever machine your using, and don't be shy to ask for any advice. There is a whole bunch of friendly folk on here who are more than willing to help out.  Grin

Welcome aboard m8 I started out with a  Bounty Hunter many moons ago, and having payed £200 at the time for it thought I had a fairly decent machine ( how wrong could I be) OK on the beach and inland on modern coins & pre decimal coins/bullets/lead & ring pulls  Grin but no good on the small Roman stuff.  A friend held a Roman minim in the palm of his hand, having just found it at 3" with a laser B1 & the Bounty Hunter couldn't even pick it up running the coil over his hand. Sold it 9 months later and bought a whites 3 SL, I hear the euro ace is a good machine & I'm sure someone on hear will tell you of its merits. Good luck and good hunting  Wink
cheers

Welcome aboard.

Ace 250 is a good starter machine but you may want to quickly upgrade if you get the 'tecting bug. Euro Ace was brought out as obviously aimed at the European market and from what I have seen looks quite similar to the 250 but not seen one in the flesh.

Anyway happy hunting.
