Just like to say Hi to everybody, just started with an ace 250, and pro-pointer three weeks ago (a real newbe Smiley), haven't found much yet, but I am working most of the time running my t shirt design business, so I have to grab an hour or two when I can, I would like to go on a rally but as I don't drive this might be difficult, from what I have seen it seems that that most of them are in the south, well hope to chat soon, back to work and bye for now. Paul.

Welcome to the DW forum Paul

Might be a good idea to join a Local detecting Club or join a club over the border,
That way as you time is limited you dont have to find your own land to detect on and the help and advice youd get would be priceless

Good luck in your new Hobbie ;0)

Welcome aboard. You'll like being a member of this club, all very helpful where poss. Nice to keep in touch with others of a kind at the press of a button.

Most will double up for Rallies. Post a thread and see if anyone fromyour end replies.

We have got a lot of Northern Wales Forum members and a lot attend DW rallys
If you like to come to a DW rally might be a good idea to start a thread looking for a lift.
I think most people would be happy to share the petrol costs

               We met on the beach in llandudno   i now have some land to detect on i will let you know if the two of us can go on it , its early days just now so lets see how it goes . mob is 07841379281 i can give you a lift , its about 6 mile from llandudno  cheers phil

Welcome aboard Paul.

I am using both the Garrett 250 and pinpointer probe - but very good. The 250 is a great little 'tector for starting out and the pinpointer saves you loads of time.
