if the center coin has a date in 1590's that would make it the 5th issue but cant see a groat of that date with a rose mark....thats why i need people like peterh to put a few threads with pointers on here show m the way.
where am i going wrong pete?

Great finds again Kev and well done on being the hammered hero of the rally.

The larger Lizzie is a sixpence and the smaller a threepence.

I was looking through my reference books for the shortcross and had decided on Henry III Class 7b, so I thought I'd have a look at UKDFD for some comparisons, and found that Rod had already done it and had it as Class 7 as well. He didn't add whether it was 7a,b or c, but the main points for ID are the shape of the A, and as there is no A visible on this coin, he must have decided it would just be a guess to go further.

thats why the groat didnt make sense.......
i was only 1 out on the Henry, which is good for me. thinking of taking evening classes in coin ID peter??  Wink

thanks Peter for the id,yes Rod Blunt did id it but i wanted to see what you came up with  Grin ;)you are our main man on here  ;)so its a class 7b then.and thank you all the rest of the guys who commented on my finds ,thanks for your comment Hedgehog i do try my best when not talking Wink............... what UKDFINDS came up with on the henry111
