Title: Newbee
Post by: avakad on November 04, 2014, 02:54:13 PM
Good Afternoon all, Im new here so i thought id just drop a quick post to say hi, so hi!

I've been wanting to take this hobby up for years but the rigors of life have gotten in the way until now, I live in the Maesteg area and was just wondering if there was anyone local to me that would be kind enough to let me tag along with them for a few hour before i jump in the deep end and purchase a detector? (sorry if this comes across as a little cheeky) but it would be nice to experience detecting first hand before i go parting with my hard earned cash

Cheers in advance

Chris ;D

Oh by the way, I have already gained a permission in upper Llangynwyd (my sister land) and would be happy to share!(http://)

Hi Nobby, cheers for the reply, would be great if your about, id love to tag along, thanks for the heads up on the land, i was thinking that it maybe full of scrap, i was however holding out a little hope as the adjoining cottages were once a public house and there has been a chapel on the site for a 100 years or so, oh well ill stick it on the back burner

Hi Avakad,
don't write the land off you could be the one to find the goods, because someone has been detecting on it and found nothing doe's not mean there is nothing there.
I've got permission on new land to me and the farmer said that it's been done I've been there three times and I found silver every time so you can't tell till you try. Good luck and welcome the the family.

Welcome to the forum,

however I would advise caution in future of posting exact details and photo's of land where you have permission to detect especially on an open forum. ;)
