That was a nice ring you showed mate...my ace 150  only good on dry sand.found some modern coins.Went back this Thursday and found 1886 farthing though. Wink

nice find there Tony with the farthing.... the oldest thing ive found on barry island was a 1900 vicky pennie, most of the coins i find are george v george v1. Let me know when your down there next an ill try and get down there. cheers

At last i finally got some pics up !!!! sorry the quality of pics arent great, i took them with my web cam..... Anyway theses where some of my finds over two days detecting down Barry Island beach 11 x three pence 12 x six pence 3 x one shilling 1 x two shilling 6 x penny 5 x half penny (old)  2 x half penny (new) and a small childs 9ct gold ring with the name Tracy engraved on the front.
