Hi folks I thought I would post this interesting local button the school was closed in 1922  Children were sent to an Industrial School because they appeared to be without proper guardianship, some had been caught stealing, others were described as vagrants.  All had been sentenced by a magistrate to be kept in the school until they were 16 years of age

Shame they closed it. I could think of a few that should be there now.  Shame we can't send them back in time for a couple of weeks.  Be much better than an ASBO.
