had a day out with Chris today (cheers Chris!). found some nice stuff , but Chris recorded a 2-0 win. (lizzie half groat and an eddy penny). i had 2 whorls, coins, buttons, thimble etc. not too sure what the item to the left of the whorls is (looks like it once had a loop which has snapped?). enjoyable day with lots of digging, hope to get something decent from the next club dig. see you all soon

Thanks for the pics Andy, you had a busy day. I don't know what that item with the broken loop is but it does look old. Has anyone got an I'd on the Eddy penny ?

Nice ones the pair of you, would have liked to have gone out myself today but I doubt if I could have stood up for long in the winds we have had all day here.

I'm pretty sure it's a Edw 1 - the position of the 'G' in ANG. There is also a reverse-barred N in ANG - the drapery on his neck looks a bit like wedges, but there are no marks on the neck that I can see - I'm getting towards class 2 - maybe even class 2b, but the next seems a bit short for 2b

Thanks for the I'd, Pity it's broken as it's in good condition otherwise.
