here is my James I shilling from todays dig, very happy with it, even with the clipping  Grin only my 2nd shilling. i also had musket balls, 2 powder measures, buttons, a bronze pot leg and a victoria half penny. i will put pics up tomorrow of the rest of the bits.

thanks to all who came today, was good to see you all and i'm sure the farmer will be happy too, will be going up in the week to give him a selection of stuff from today.

Nice shilling Andy, all I got were a love token, couple of coppers and a few musket balls. Hard going on that maize stubble.

thanks wal and Chris, yes it was tough, i had never encountered 'weedy' stubble fields before it was an eye opener! i will ask the farmer if we could possibly go on his pasture fields at some point this winter, i'm not sure if he rents them or owns them but worth a try i feel

Thanks for organising Andy. Had to leave early. Got a chest infection. Shouldn't of been their really but was so desperate to get out. Couple of musket balls and a battered old coin . not worth a picture. Thanks again.

nice coin Andy well found, had a good day didn't find much but had a nice 1936 florin in good condition, haven't had time to clean my other bits yet. Jason the stubble was really hard going in some of the fields as there were a lot of tall weeds growing and a one point I sunk well past my ankles in the soft mud as well but still a good day out

Great coin find "Sharkey" well saved, and well and truly saved.👍by the way, with all those musket balls it could be a "skirmish site,"!!!
Not sure if it should be reported to the FLO !! Huh

Nice coin Andy, now you've cleaned up a bit. Followed your "Logic" with the horse jumping and helped me find my hammie (lizzie half groat?). Went home happy for a change. Thanks for organising the day.
