I get a nice surprise every now and then when going through my scrap bucket, amazing what you can miss until you have a good look.

                            Never heard of any car jacking at Talacre but a photographer was hit over the head and all his expensive photographic equipment was stolen the other year. The first year we were there, a guy got stuck in the quicksand up to his middle and it took a whole team of rescuers to get him unstuck before the incoming tide could complicate his situation. And only last year two horses got stuck in deep mud and had to be rescued.

                             In spite of all that, I still think it is safer detecting at Talacre rather than Flint. In both locations it is probably best not to detect alone!
