hey that george IIII might have been a watch fob, i have one the same but a 2 pound piece, still with the gilt and glass layers either side of it with a copper band securing it. just for info  Wink ill try and find some pics of it for you, brilliant finds also  Smiley cant wait to get out myself! where i live they have taken a top off a field and a matter of 4 meters away is a roman farmstead, they found it when building a extension, with graves also! will be going over it this week hopefully!!
