I managed to get out today for a three hour fix. Last night we had aprox 5" of lying snow, this morning there was 2" and now it's raining, so by tomorrow it should all be gone Grin.
The down side is that because of the speed of the thaw, the ground is saturated and stupid me decided to go to button moon which is a stubble field "Duhhhh".
Well not that much to show you, but I did get 2 pot legs, a nice steel yard weight, various bits of lead, 1875 penny, whats left of a French jeton and a 1921 sixpence (50/50 Angry). Also.. yet another copper alloy thimble, a musket ball, clog fastener and the obligatory buttons.

I'm getting desperate now, only three days to the end of the year and I need my twelfth Hammy.

Well  done Geoff. Handy haul by my standards. We need another day (or 2) at least before ground around here is digable. It's been raining since last night and it's all still on the surface, running everywhere but not sinking in.
Like I said 2 weeks ago, I'll have to read the instruction manual before I go out again. Sad
