On the subject of Ring money, the current thinking is that their may never have been such a thing in existence, especially in anything other than gold or gold plated. The idea of bronze ring money seems to have come about as a result of hoards of rings being discovered, but as one historian has said, when a hoard of axes are found, we don't think of them as axe money or the finding of a buried ton of iron nail at Vindolanda didn't lead to us thinking it they were Roman nail money Title: Re: celtic ring moneyor just scrap Post by: avalon on December 19, 2011, 10:03:00 PM And people think of the Euro as money, probably turn out to be worthless paper. ;)
