Looks like Minelab are taking a leaf out of XP's book with their new machine having some similarities.

What do you think?

The day before, actually!  Grin

...................and they always look and weigh the same, plus the technology is  never a leap.  Cry

I must admit it does look good. Just hope it's nice and light.  Tongue

Hey you cut it out lol. I think if they don't listen this time to the weight issue people will leave the minelab camp in their droves.
But just to put the record straight. there has been no leaps in general detector technology since Compass launched the DD coil in 76. Deus is novel but it's all off the shelf technology.

Unless a new method is found to find metal nothing will have changed..
Improvements in depth and sensitivity across the descrimination range has advanced but I am not too sure about the true depth factor.
The etrac is lovely and light. My hawkeye is lighter but I aches using it for long periods because I don't get to stop and dig so much.
Minelab are working on a new model which is going to come out very soon!!!!
