I thought I would do a series of posts chaptering the events of my detecting in a medieval field as shown in picture from stubble to plough. The field is situated 200yds from an early Medieval church in between ancient villages, along side a small river, nestled in a valley. This field has served me well over the years and the farmer is friendly and has no problems searching when seeded Grin . I will endever to get on it once or twice a week in all weather and see what turns up and post, starting with two 3 hour visits I have already had this week in stubble from last years crop.
Also I will be useing my new 13" ultimate coil purchased from Geoff Wink on the other end of the coil is my trusted minelab soverign. Hope you enjoy the posts. Should any one like to identify the hammered feel free Wink

Great idea - looking forward to how this pans out over the next few months.

There's a cracker of a buckle there!

Great eclectic collection of finds with I dare say many more to come.

Quality post
