Hi mate, just upgraded from the x-30 to the x-70 so can help.
Basically the x-30 is so easy to use there is little i can tell you.
Keep sens at 8,search in pattern 1 in iron infested sites.
If you get a dodgy signal, switch to all metal & read VDU,if it says -4,leave it & dont dig.Any + signals above 4 are worth adig, coins always register 28+ but so does foil/cans etc,so dig & hope!

Hi Stig, sorry to hijack this thread but do you think that the same settings would apply to the x terra 305 ? I have what seems to be an iron infested site that i started on last week, but somtimes still got a high reading as well as the usual -4 ?

Thanks

Hello there Dirt Grov 1 Grin no meter system is totally accurate no matter what machine put a few objects on the ground scan over them one at a time note the meter readingswith them flat and vertical etc place them one at a time next to or near a iron nail or some other small piece of ironnotice the differance in signal and meter reading if in doubt of any signal always dig it better to dig some rubbish than leave any goodies in the ground  Wink good hunting bud  :)mole
