Post by: TEZZA on September 30, 2016, 02:48:03 PM
Hi
Ive just had a great result back from the Gloucestershire Finds liaison officer Kurt Adams . This piece of lead I detected at about 10inches deep some months ago on one of my permissions nearly went for hedge fodder turns out to be a lead pattern for making Colchester type Bow brooche dated 75AD-175AD The mighty Tecknetics T2SE does it again what a great machine

Fantastic - I had a similar thing with a Viking lead weight a few years ago.........

I haven't seen one of these patterns before, it does make sense :)

I must admit that when I first read it, I thought you meant 'check your [coil] lead' - in that you had been detecting and wondering why you weren't digging anything up! Lol (because I've done that a few times)
