Found this eyes only while detecting near sker point about seven years ago- I knew the exposed clay and peat was about 6000 years old and my heart raced as I thought it was a mammoth tusk, Shocked Shocked turns out it is probably an elephants -probably from a cargo of ivory from a shipwreck. About two years ago another larger tusk was found in the same area by a chap from porthcawl who is convinced its a mammoths  Undecided Undecided.I have found 6000 year old red dear antlers and all sorts of bones not to mention the footprints of extinct auroch (cow like prints) in the grey clay ,if I find the photos I'll post them
