and a very nice hoard it is too Grin ;Dtotally agree with these guys statements about tectin and one thing i can add is never rule out a farm or piece of land just beacuse it looks boring and there is not a saxon palace site within a hundred miles  Grin,,these quite places produce finds for the simple fact is they are quiet places.

hmm just noticed your hoard too, nice one,,  i bet that sent you sky high when you found that,   i didn't come down for 2 weeks after i'd found my bronze age hoard  lol
 just goes to show though, all the stuff that can be missed by others,  esecially if they are rushing about
