Title: Re: OUT TODAY IN BRECON Post by: briggs1969 ( Dawson ) on September 15, 2011, 07:28:35 PM hi melonhead cant get a tidy pic on my phone so had a closer look and the markings are an anchor , lion and a 1 and there are three letters opposite which look like HHM and the serial number is Rd 549504 any help will be good mate im useless on hallmarks ::)

I think my antique dealing daughter has a book of all the Rd (Registered) numbers, it would date this item to within a few days. Register numbers were used mainly on pottery, also some metal, from about 1890 to about 1930. I'll try to find out the actual date for you.
