« Reply #45 on: June 01, 2009, 10:35:09 AM »

hi, this celtic terrett ring was found in the vale of glamorgan , now purchased by the welsh musuem, it was at least 18inches down, a very faint signal, and small rocks wedged arond it, i now without my ex11 i would have not found it people talk about slow recovery speed, of the ex11,  well its served me well. thanks again for your nice and  intelligient comments , regards john

Wow ! What an amazing collection of finds,

i think it goes to show, that all of us in Wales neednt travel too far to distant rallies, when it is possible to find amazing roman/med artefacts on our doorsteps.

well done border fox  Grin

out with the vac today, and louie 90,  we started a new farm in deep wales, the farmer let us pull the car in the field, and of we went phil the vac was of and running with a nice 17th cent buckle, william 4th sixpence closly followed by elizy 1st half groat dodging a few showers we  had lots more targets, but the finds where all georgy, so lunch time we decided to move to  our other farm bad news the farmewas in the barn with the vet, his whole herd wherte being put down, tb the dreaded disease.  badgers love them or hate them,so we tried a new farm, louise 90,  kicked of with two nice tokens one a bishop cronard, type then i followed up with this silver arm piece. phil thinks its victorian , i think a lt earlier,  we had a great day out  lou and phil nev er stopped joking , bottom photo lou 90. warming up see over hedge, phils audience,  saw a wonderfull red kite today. very close what a great hbby close to nature, lovly scenery and mad, but great company regards john

hi flipper,  my machine is minlab explorer 11, fitted with the 11 inch pro coil, which i bought new 3years ago. it was bought because of their depth qualities, and has certainly paid off, , your not doing anything wrong , any machine would have found them, but sometimes if your very lucky you find that field of dreams best regards john
