I am asking for advice please, I am using a ace 250, When deteting on stubble or pasture with thick high grass and unable to get the coil flat on the ground would i increse the sensitivity to compensate or is my thinking of sensitivity all wrong.

If you can turn the sens up without it falsing then it certainly won't do any harm.
As for cleaning? if they are really crusty then the best method is to buy some hydrogen peroxide from the chemists and pop them in there for a few minutes ;) Title: Re: sensitivity and coin cleaning Post by: ysbytymike on October 05, 2012, 09:01:22 AM Lemon juice is quite good for removing the green crud but it is a slow process. The up-side is it will not damage
any sensitive area's of the coin. Be careful though, hard scrubbing with a toothbrush can. I used to just do a gentle brush every other day before renewing the juice. I used a china eggcup as the reservoir. Ysbyty |
