The very first signal was the sixpence(1916 George V) Very pleasing as it was vertical and about 8" down.

The 1806 George 111 halfpenny (fourth issue) was pin pointer depth.

The other is an 1811 One Penny Token of Risca Copper Company & Union.

The Viccie Penny is 1863 but unfortunately not a rare one  Cry

Nothing spectacular but I do like finding old Georgian as they clean up a lovely coppery colour.

Nice one Bob. I had One of those last Friday. Spent the first hour lookind for a silver spectacle case for the farmers wife and after another hour chatting I head off along the field to the back of the main farm house which is Elizabethan and actually got about 50 mins detecting in before I broke me tector dodging the cows as they rapidly advanced and I tried to dive over the stile just as they got to me. Anyway a Georgian assembly seemed to be the order of the day and like you Bob I like them to.

My bit of silver that helped the day though when I realised my detector had bust the air was blue. As It came out the ground and after some spit and silver paper.

There's something about Georgian coins that I like. More often they're worth more than Roman or
hammered.

Georgian silver is spectacular as your coins shows.

I like doing a Georgian farm as yu never know what's going to turn up.
