Post by: nfl on June 06, 2010, 05:54:40 PM
for all you out there that are having a problem with plough land in short supply and pasture as hard as rock, inc myself the weather is changing cooler with scattered showers about over the next few days,in the meantime maybe try tectin woodland, beaches, river banks or tide areas if you feel the need,,,maybe some nice goodies will be about  :)

We desperately need a lot of rain in the meantime if we're going to have any hope of a DW rally.  I really would not feel happy about 60 - 70 people digging on dry pasture, after seeing the mess on my own farms fields.

Could not agree more gents. I have looked at two different sites in the last three days and decided not to proceed for the very reasons you give Rob, awful digging. Don,t say this very often but please can we have a few days of steady rain. It is the least we can do to leave the fields as the land owner would want to find them.
