I gave up biking in 1985 after seeing my mates girlfriend decapitated in the lanes from Cowbridge to St Athan,  he went round a corner at a fair lick , he was down over the bars , she was sitting upright , there was a tree down , he went under, unfortunately she didn't, i was about 200yds behind and i heard the crash from there , and slowed down,   i would shake everytime i got back on my bike , so i sold it, and i haven't been on one since.i still have flashbacks to this day , it was terrible. he was riding a GPZ 900R, and i was on my SUZI 400F, explains why i couldn't keep up.

Sorry to hear that mike ;0(

I lost my best friend on a Gpz900r
He was a courier from Porth called Colin Jones he died near Swindon on the A4
He pulled out with a transit van to overtake a lorry on a 3 lane road,
The transit bottled it and braked
colin braked hard and ended up under the wheels of an artic
10 days later he was dead
Colin moved to a street in ynysir before he died. im not sure but wind street rings a bell
His younger brother lives near you too Alyn jones

Colin only had the GPZ a week (he had a Kawasaki GT 750 for years ) and he had 2 accidents One he run into the back of a tractor near Cowbridge then he hit a Coloured family that stepped out on him on Tower bridge London

The last thing i said to Colin was ..."They are going to bring you home in a body bag  ;0("

Was that your mate that worked at Cycle Dispatch Phil? I vaguely remember him now.
I'm going to dig out some old photos and scan them so your not the only one revealing his past, though that one of you at Porthcawl nearly caused a bladder malfunction Grin

Lol Thats crazy.

I met my second wife on a night out at a local club
On one of our dates i asked her back to mine.
She seen one of my old wedding pics and said,.... I know that man in the picture,(it was my ex brother in law)
I asked her how ?
She said coz he run away with my best friend, 8 years old, I was working at her shop in Mountain Ash at the time.

I know about my Brother in laws affair but i didnt know my future wife only worked 3 doors up on Oxford street mountain Ash even tho she was only a few doors up i cant remembers seeing her

Spooky ! lol
