Title: XP Deus
Post by: Dryland on February 06, 2015, 02:33:39 AM
1]  What are the advantages of getting a full Deus outfit as opposed to the Deus Lite,? - 11" coil and WS5 headphones

2] What is the purpose of having a stem fitted control box on the Deus AND controls in the headphones

3 ]  Is it  worth just buying the Deus with 11" coil and Control box without the headphones

4 ]  Has anyone used the Deus with other headphones [ cordless or wired ]

1 = access all the expert options etc, 11 inch coil seems to be a good all round coil more coverage than the 9" and better in trashy areas than the 13"  for , ws5 slightly bigger screen and better build

2= choose, if on a easy site that you know what works  and you just want to use basic programs just use headphones, remote  if in very trashy areas handy to have target Id, but if on a good site were you want to dig every thing just use the headphones.

3= yes if you want to use without head phones, use other wired or wireless head phones

4 = have used with Golden mask wireless head phones and works well

only my opinion, others may have different reasons ;)

3. Most definately YES - IMHO if you are going for a lite, buy the remote option version not the headphones one if you have a choice. OK, you're wired to the control box, but you can put it in your shirt pocket if thats an issue and it gives you better control of the machine than the headphone only lite.

4. TDK lightweight (under £20) have a great sound with the remote, I wouldnt go for the WS5's, but I prefer lightweights anyway...

Thanks guys, I'm thinking of going down the LITE 11" coil and control box option,at the moment, as I'm still not convinced about needing the controls in the  headphones, and if I feel it necessary  I could always buy the headphones at a later date. I've got some thinking to do before I finally decide on which option and sell my Safari.
