Title: BUCKLE TO DATE PLEASE

Found this buckle on a new cheshire farm where also  a Henry the second  penny and a Charles the first shilling was found by the two others I was with
Can anyone please  date the buckle

It looks in nice condition Glyn, well found :D It's a two piece shoe buckle meaning that the frame and strap bar are separate components and the general rule of thumb is that the two piece begins to become widespread after 1680 with this design disappearing after 1720 ;)
