One thing I've noticed several times is that stuff up in Scotland seems to be cheaper.  In the last year I've ordered stuff from up there and not only is it cheaper but it arrives a darn sight  quicker.
My latest purchase was a set of waterproof car seat covers. Only el-cheapos but will do the job. Free post from Enniskillen. Ordered Sunday, they arrived Tuesday.
Purchase before that, Knitting wool from Porthcawl,  £2.99 post for 5 balls x 100grams and it took 6 days.  Go Figure.

Val

p.s. The Go-Pro takes a bit of beating.

I've had a go-pro for years but my current one is an early versions of the camera, so is getting very long in the tooth.

There are a few different manufactures out there these days but 'why oh why', do we always have to get ripped off
on pricing/postage in the UK. I notice a lot of internet postage is going through the roof now. I think its just another way of bumping up the purchase price
and using postage as an excuse - "but were too stupid to see this aren't we"?

Thanks for the offer JCB. Appreciate it mate but I know the go pro is still at the top of the pile there as far as quality is concerned.
The thread really is about customers getting ripped off in the UK, compared to other countries.

You're right, of course Mike.  I bought something a couple of months ago and paid £4.00 postage. I noticed, when to parcel arrived it was stamped with £1.50..
I guessed, when I ordered, it was too high but thought,( as I often do ) it's still cheaper than driving 23 miles to Carmarthen.
