Had news today that my brother has won the coveted photographer of the year competition organized by the WWT.
Afraid its been a tragic week for him in general as his partner passed away last Monday after a long illness.

Wayne has won many competitions with his wildlife and bird photography as the image I've posted demonstrates.
If you'd like to read the article you can find it at wwt.org.uk and go to news.

I've seen many of his photographs on a different site and he's worked long and hard for that award. Hope his partner knew he had won.

Unfortunately Bob, she didn't. He only found out about it yesterday.
She was so ill toward the end, it probably wouldn't have registered if she'd known.

Your right of course about his dedication and expertise in this field of photography. Its only right its
now being recognized.

Hi Mike
Please pass on our condolencies and congratulations to you Brother.

How great to win that prize but what a shame it had to be at such a sad time.
