Popped out this morning for a few hours to the site where Nick found his (mine ethically lol) hoard, it was pretty quiet but I did manage the catch plate from a Fibula and three grots. When the one with verdigri came out I felt sure another hoard was in the offing but alas it wasn't to be......so not a lot but as I say..better than nothing

After seeing your penannular brooch I'm really considering digging some of the iron from this site as it's so devoid of anything modern.

It may be worth a go Geoff, you never know..... Id never try around building stone as you more likely to hit nail after nail, but around the out skirts may be worth a shot.

No I'm safe that's silver and gold lol 10 for coppers but in my experience you would need 10 piled up with a sign on it saying "savings" for the FLO's to consider it a hoard Undecided
