I missed the 'Hammy Fest' on the weekend but did have some nice finds from Oxfordshire. Any comfirmation on ID's on the following would be good?
The first is a nice buckle/strap end, possibly medieval.
Second is a lead button, I had one identical a few months ago, nice design.
Third is a possible Saxon Brooch, this would be good if so as it would be my first Saxon. Next is another type of brooch age unknown.
Lastly is a Roman which I cant make out but looks like a horse or deer on the back.

Tudor clothes hook, brooch clasped hands looks tudor as well, part of a saxon brooch, and the radiate head looks like Allectus. (but only a guess) nice finds well done Smiley

Tudor strapend or hook clasp
Top of Alesia Saxon Broach.
The Hand Broach has been stamped out so i would say its from georgen on.
I would go with Allectus to.

Great finds Ceri.

16th to 17th century hooked fastener

Head of Saxon brooch

I agree the clasped hands brooch is stamped rather than cast, so not of great age.

The Roman is Gallienus, like this:

The only one I could hazard a guess at was the top one. A dress fastener with the hook snapped off.
Good finds Ceri, well saved.

The glove brooches seem to have been most popular around 1900.
