Title: Help I'd this buckle please

Morning All
Could you please help ID this buckle please
Solid brass,at first it appeared that it was machine made until further inspection.
Found on the beach after the recent BIG storms
How old and what kind of use please?

Bet that gave on heck of a signal Jamie.  It's a belter (no pun intended)

Can't find one exactly the same but from the working attachments I'd say 1660 - 1720.  See attached

I'm afraid I didn't get to hear the "boom" in the headphones as it was found by my buddy robbyw
Really happy to think its that old and may relate to a wreck that went down around 1700 just off the beach,recent storm have taken nearly a metre of sand away in places.

Two piece buckle, rectangular and sub-rectangular. Shoe buckles 1690-1720 approx! Well done ;)
