well the weather was good as I was expecting snow as it was my first md rally not like the first time card enduro i did near newtown mid wales.
in the late 1990s on a 560 ccm the weather was fine until it started snowing it was at least a foot deep in an hour lol.
anyway my two wheel dirt riding days are over I think there were one or two beginners at the rally going by some of the machines being used.
I can only say don't give up the detecting as the saying is if you don't walk over it you wont find it the venue was a tough one but the dirt diggers did well for there first rally.
oh and I did find 2 ring pulls an iron gate pin one or two other bits of scrap 1 William 3rd half penny 1 buckle 1 button 1 musket ball and wet feet.

I guess the weather spoiled the day. It was always going to be difficult. It must have been an hour before I dug my first hole, then another half hour after that  for the next.. Eventually found a part where a barn or house had once stood and found a couple of coppers and a button there, lots of good signals but ground full of roof slate and difficult to shift. Getting back uphill to the car park nearly killed me. Thanks for the day anyway, appreciate all the work that goes into organising these events. Also well done everybody on the hole filling, 100% and neat from what I saw.

Thanks to the organizers, I didn't get much in the way of finds but enjoyed my first Welsh dig.  Really enjoyed my weekend in Wales and I am hoping to take in another DetectingWales dig later in the year.  Cheesy
