Had the day off today but I was under strict orders to concentrate on DiY Cry But I did manage to escape for two and a half hours this afternoon and so headed to an as yet undetected field that Taff, Ray and I have got permission for. The ground is still a little to dry for my liking which was reinforced by me being able to run 32 sens in manual with no disc Shocked
and it was still quiet.
Well I had very few diggable signals in my time there and only 4 are worth showing.
The first was a strangely shaped pot leg with a lovely patina that took some digging and eventually revealed itself at 16"(that's two spade depths that's how I know). Then came an unfortunately bent square pewter lid from what I presume was a snuff box. Next up was a WWI General service button in quite good condition and lastly just as I had given up and as sods law often does a Cartwheel penny from just behind the car Roll Eyes

I'm sure you will Jassy soon enough. I was running full sens in manual when I found this one and at only 5" it sounded as if I had found a dustbin lid Cheesy

Well at least you found something worthy of note. Well done Geoff.

Actually I think my afternoons effort is worthy of a note. You had your Button Oak I have my field of washers. Roll Eyes and I didn't dig them all.

And not a coin in sight. Cry

Val

Nice going Geoff, at the depth you found that pot leg, I bet at first thought you were thinking it may be Bronze Age! If you're finding things that deep, keep going, you bound to find something decent at that depth! And you were running full sensitivity by the sounds of what you said, that's exactly how I came across my axe head!
