here is Chris' cracking patterned spindle whorl from today. wish it was mine Cry

and here's my roman brooch. got it in the first 15 mins of the day. other finds were a few buttons, 1 musket ball and clay pipe stem. talk about peaking too soon!  Cheesy

Thanks for the pics Andy, you think that you peaked too soon, the whorl was in the first hole I dug. It's an unusual one having different patterns top and bottom. Congrats on the brooch.
