The dig is organised for Sunday, Will is going to contact you by text. If you don't get a text contact him or me via pm. Good luck.

OOOOH, I is chaffing at the bit; aint swung a detector for over a month. Don't panic if I faint at the site of my first gold stator! Going to try a new idea to ensure that I cover my ground more effectively.

With all this God given daylight, can we detect till late?  Tongue

Aaah, two pegs and a bit o string.  I detect several square yards of ground and then stick a peg in the middle of that area, tie the string to the peg and move to the edge of the ground just detected. Holding the peg at my end of the string, I then detect round in a circle. Each time I complete a circle, I move out just short of a full detector sweep and recommence detecting in a circle. With a considerable amount of string wound around the second peg I can keep moving out until I run out of string and know that I have not missed anything within that area.

It may all sound a bit daft but I am hoping that it will assist me in covering an area better and I will not have missed small sections of ground.  Wink Wink

Not heard from Paddy yet. I hope he didn't get blewed up, mugged, stuck in the quick sand, or stabbed by broken glass and hypodermics!  Shocked

Turning in now; see you guys bright and early Sunday morning.   Wink Wink Wink
