MAD COWS EAT METAL DETECTORISTS !!!🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂

« on: May 31, 2015, 05:20:54 PM »

Went down to a well known " bullets ,& casings " beach with me old mate Andy for a couple of hours, him on his Garrett AT PRO,me with my trusty Sovereign GT,well,as you can see we were certainly not disappointed with signals, plenty of fishing weights, bullets and casings, ringpulls,a couple of spendable coppers,a Queen Victorian halfpenny (1898),old non discript penny plus a load of aluminium bits!!
But then,a fantastic surprise, a military cap badge.
The badge as pictured  is the "KINGS REGIMENT "depicting the white horse of Hanover, this pattern was in use from1898 until1927.
Apparently, the origin of the regiment dates back to 1685 up to 1958 ad was originally called the KINGS LIVERPOOL REGIMENT, which was born out of volunteers like today's territorial armies.
Thanks for looking👍

i had a kings own yorkshire light infantry badge from same beach last year.those poor buggers were some of the first ones into the trenches and had a 4 out of 5 casualty/mortality rate.
we complain if rains or the internet goes down,we need to be grateful. Sad

Hi badger, yes I did it a bit of pre decimal, its in amongst the selection of odds and sods, one being a Victorian halfpenny(a bit worn) and an old penny (nothing distinguishable)
With regards to the badges...well,as you say..poor beggers, they never knew what hit em did they!! and yes your so right we really DONT have anything to complain about do we ?
