I would like to enter my bronze roman coin Constantine II dated between 346  -  350 AD.
I am sorry but I do not know how to transfer the picture that is on todays Farmer Phil's rally finds page.

Not being one to want to miss out on a competition, I thought I should post my best finds from yesterday and really upset the apple cart.

Unlike the plentiful hammered coins that adorned many a worthy searcher at the end of yesterday's foray, I was the one fortunate enough to find the rare 1920 George V penny that no-one was talking about. Although I had two 1919 pennies as well, the 1920 is obviously far rarer as I only found the one. A quick scan of the PAS and the UK DFD shows no other recorded examples. Therefore I rest my case.

For the artefact find, I offer you my "unifaced lead alloy token" as identified and recorded by the FLO's on site. I'm so glad that such a worthy lump of lead find will form part of this glorious nation's historical record  Grin

More seriously though, many thanks to all of the organisers invovled yesterday and congratulations to the lucky finders of some of the nicest coins I've seen for a long time (whether you want your FOTR points or not). The whole event was a glowing tribute to a man I know you all held in very high esteem and I feel honoured to have taken part.

Attached photo's show my better finds for the rally.

The Vic 6d was in a hell of a state and took some major cleaning. It's a contemporary forgery so
I get extra browney points!

The other is a item is the catch plate off a Roman brooch. The Roman decided he wanted the
top bit with the pin!  Wink
